Kofi was diagnosed with Anorectal Malformation with a recto prostatic fistula. This is a congenital condition in which the child has an absent anal opening with a connection of the anus to the Urinary Tract. Staged management has commenced: he had a colostomy done to enable him to pass stools. Definitive surgery (Posterior Sagittal Anorectoplasty) is yet to be done.
